Update No. 443
Good Morning, Redeemer Family
Sermon Recordings
This week, Fraser walked us through Psalm 50, a unique and sobering passage where God speaks directly to His people in a dramatic courtroom scene to issue a wake-up call to His own covenant family. Fraser highlighted that the tension in this Psalm forces us to ask a critical question: are we worshiping the true God of Scripture, or a convenient caricature of our own making? God addresses two distinct groups who have misunderstood His heart: the "unthinkingly religious," who treat God as a needy, transactional deity they can appease with rituals, and the "hardened hypocrites," who claim the benefits of God's covenant while casting His moral discipline aside, tragically mistaking His silence for approval. Fraser reminded us that whether we lean toward self-righteous performance or presume upon grace while living in active disobedience, God’s remedy is the exact same. He doesn't want empty rituals or lip service; He wants our hearts, calling us to offer genuine thanksgiving and trust completely in Christ, the true sacrifice who secures our salvation.
If you weren’t able to make it on Sunday or if you’d like to listen to this sermon or any previous sermons, they’re all available here.

Rosters!
The Scripture Reading Roster, Notices Roster, and Intercessory Prayer Roster have now all been updated for October-December. Please take a look and make sure that you are happy with when you have been rostered on. If you are not on a roster and would like to be, please let me know. You can find the roster here.
No Sunday School
There will be no Sunday School for the next 2-3 weeks. We will resume as usual once the new school term begins in mid-October. Activity sheets will be provided for the children to use during the service.
Pre-Service Setup…er
We are also looking for someone/s to take on the role of setting up the chairs and displays and preparing Communion before the service each Sunday. This role requires you to be at church approximately 45 minutes before the service begins. If this is something you’d be interested in doing, please let me or Rex know.

Reflection
"Christ says, 'Give me All. I don't want so much of your time and so much of your money and so much of your work: I want You. I have not come to torment your natural self, but to kill it. No half-measures are any good... Hand over the whole natural self, all the desires which you think innocent as well as the ones you think wicked—the whole outfit. I will give you a new self instead.'"
- C.S. Lewis
