Our Services
Our services are centred on the gospel and designed to help us become "Word-filled, Spirit-empowered, joyful worshippers of Jesus Christ".
On this page, you will find details for our Sunday Service & our Children’s Ministry.
What to Expect in the Service
When & Where We meet every Sunday at 10:00 AM at the Onuku-Taipari Domain Hall.
Here is the general flow of our time together:
Worship & Open Prayer: We begin by singing theologically rich songs to God, followed by a time where anyone in the congregation can offer a prayer or Scripture passage to encourage and build up the church.
Morning Tea: Uniquely, we pause in the middle of our service, after the singing and notices, to share morning tea together. We value this time to connect, catch up, and practice true fellowship.
Corporate Prayer: After morning tea, we have a time of dedicated corporate prayer. This might take the form of Intercessory Prayer (where a member leads us in a pre-prepared prayer on behalf of the church) or Group Prayer (where we gather in small groups to pray for specific needs).
The Word: We then settle in for the preaching of the Word. Our sermons are expository and biblical, aiming to equip disciples for life and godliness.
Communion: We celebrate the Lord’s Supper (Communion) every Sunday to remember Christ’s atoning death and resurrection.
What About the Children?
Redeemer Kids & Families We believe children have dignity as God’s image-bearers and are a vital part of our church family. We want parents to feel supported and at ease:
Redeemer Kids: During the school term, we run a dedicated program for children (years 1-8) where they can learn about the Gospel in a safe, fun environment. The children are invited to go out to Sunday School after Corporate Prayer.
Kids Who Care: We encourage our children to practice Missional Love by looking beyond themselves to God's global mission. We partner with the Slavic Gospel Association (SGA), inviting our kids to give weekly to the Orphans Reborn ministry. This supports the spread of the Gospel and care for orphans in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
Kids in the Service: Children of all ages are always welcome to stay in the main service with their parents! We love the sound of families worshipping together.
Parent-Led Crèche: For parents with younger children who need a break, we have a room equipped with toys and books. Please note this is a self-managed space, so parents need to stay with their children while using this room.
School Holidays: During school holidays, Redeemer Kids takes a break, but we provide sermon notes and worksheet activities to help keep hands busy and ears listening during the preach.
Health & Safety We take the safety of our community seriously. We have specific policies in place regarding child protection and general health and safety to ensure a secure environment for everyone. A copy of our child protection policy is available upon request.
